Unicorn

Noun: unicorn 'yooni'korn An imaginary creature represented as a white horse with a long horn growing from its forehead. Though the popular image of the unicorn is that of a white horse differing only in the horn, the traditional unicorn has a billy-goat beard, a lion's tail, and cloven hoofs, which distinguish him from a horse. Interestingly, these modifications make the horned ungulate more realistic, since only cloven-hoofed animals have horns.

Samvaada - part 3

He says:
Raj, I personally feel that cost of living depends on the city in which u live. see in pune for example, everything is damn costly. a rented 2BHK flat does not come for less than 8000. While in Kakinada, Vizag it is not even half of it. same is the case for other things movie tickets for example, a multiplex ticket in pune on weekends is not less than 100. while in vizag it has just reached 40. I feel that it is easy to manage things in your home town/state. u may even have ur parent's/ancestral house to stay in. For the same salary that I am drawing here in pune, I can live like a king in vizag/kakinada. Is it not the case? Our parents were not very rich, yet they managed to educate us in the best of the institutions. Did we not come up in life? I feel this corporate life very risky and monotonous. u have to be on ur toes every minute. When it comes to teaching, it is cool. An engineering prof in JNTU for example teaches for not more than 8 class room hours and 3 lab hours per week. He can prepare for his classes in his free time in the department itself. And the pay is decent enough. My friend's mother once told us that your expenditure is proportional to your income. I didnt realise it then. But now, I feel it is absolutely true. What do you say!!!
